Großer Donnerkogel 2,054 m
Route no. 611/628, Duration approx. 2 hours, difficulty: red
The route leads past the Gablonzerhütte hut and then to the deep intersection between the craggy Kleiner Donnerkogel and the domed Törleck. After a few minutes, you will come to a fork in the route. The right fork is the Austriaweg trail to the Stuhlalm hut – we will take the left route. It initially leads through areas of greenery and pine trees then over stone slabs, rubble, steep rocky sections and through a short gorge towards the peak. The top section of the train leads across grassy terrain and is a comfortable walk.
