Bärencamp Russbach.

Bruno - the ski bear who doesn’t hibernate.

Everyone loves Bruno!
Everyone loves Bruno!

Bärencamp is located at the valley station for the Russbach Hornbahn and provides the ideal practice terrain for those who are just learning how to ski. Easy to get to, and easy to negotiate, many little racing skier have started out here, before venturing to the pistes on the Horn!

Skiing is certainly not difficult on the 'Bärenwiese’ with the magic carpet and button lifts and Bruno, the skiing bear who doesn’t hibernate, often frolics with his friends through the snow! Beginners are able to learn how to ski on a total of 5 practice lifts in the valley. Superb surprises await children: the Bärenschuss jump, Bären slalom and the big Schneeburg provide the diversity for your family ski holiday!

LEARN TO SKI WITH BRUNO

Just copy Bruno Bear: he’ll be in the ski school in Rußbach. Since he learned how to ski he doesn’t want to hibernate any more! By the way, learning to ski in Dachstein West is great value for money! There is a 5-day ski course (four hours a day) available for just EUR 148.-.

The amazing thing: children up to the age of 6 get a ski holiday for free (incl. ski course) from 13th to 27th March 2010! More information about this dream offer for children can be found here!

How can you sleep? There’s always something going on in ’Bärencamp’. Every week there is a big bear party, a jam session in Rooky Park, the legendary glow worm festival and an exciting ski school race, with an awards ceremony!

The Rußbach section of the Dachstein West region also has specially prepared mogul pistes and deep snow runs for those children who are particularly talented skiers. So little skiers also become powder pros and then still have fun in the snow when they get older!

Bruno, the ski bear, looks forward to seeing you!
