Small ski resort with great service!
Nestled among impressive peaks lies the quaint ski resort of Russbach 800 m above sea level. The Salzburg section of the Dachstein West ski region offers many diverse and attractive leisure options. In just 6 minutes on foot from the village centre you'll be on the slope, where the 8-seat Hornbahn cable car will take you up to the Hornspitz summit quickly and comfortably. The many cosy accommodation options place great value on hospitality and the jovial landlords will treat you to delicious regional cooking. On the summit of the Horn you can enjoy the vast mountain panorama with views of the Dachstein glacier and relax on the sun decks.
You can take wide swings on the wide valley run down to Russbach, with snow conditions guaranteed until the end of season.
Russbach - the small village with great service:
At the lower terminus of the Hornbahn Russbach cable car, just a few metres from the village centre, you'll find a huge range of services: Ski school, ski rentals, ski and heated boot storage, snack room for everyone and the Sparrow's nest Kids Club, where kids of visitors to Russbach are looked after for free.
NEW parking lots:
The parking lot has been enlarged enormously for the 2012/2013 winter season! Time-consuming hunting for parking is now a thing of the past :-D
Up to the Horn in comfort
With the 8-seat cabin lift skiers can get up to the Horn in comfort, where easy to moderate wide slopes line up in the terrain which is always free of fog. The Snow Park Dachstein West below the new Edtalmbahn lift makes freestyler hearts leap for joy.
In the Bear ski school, the little ones are also in good hands. On the perfect practice course you'll be dashing down the slopes in no time. Off we go on the Bear field with magic carpet and rope lift. Or look forward to the Bear slope, Bear slalom or the giant snow castle. Skilled skiers can throw themselves into the deep powder snow or down the mogul slope. The specially trained children's ski instructors look forward to seeing you beary much!

So parents can go skiing without any worries, the club for children, the 'Spatzennest’ in Russbach, and its very qualified carers, are there to look after children from the age of one. This service is provided free of charge for guests from Russbach who are staying overnight!!!
