Snowshoetrail Zwieselalm

Trail no. 1 circular trail ‘Dachsteinblick’

  • Arrival point: Mountain station 8er-Panorama Jet Zwieselalm

From the mountain station of the 8-seater Panorama Jet Zwieselalm, the trail leads downhill along the eastern edge of the Sonnenalm past the old lift route and to the valley station of the Törleck 4-seater chairlift.

From there, the trail, marked with red poles and yellow signs, continues to the mountain station of the Gosaukammbahn (summer operation only), where there is a fascinating view of the rugged and snow-covered rocks of the Gosaukamm.

The trail now leads in a westerly direction past the Gablonzerhütte and Breininghütte along the ski trail towards the 8-seater Panorama Jet.

Shortly before crossing the piste (please be careful!) you come to a small hill where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the impressive Dachstein glacier and the summit of the Dachstein (2996 m). Continue past the Sonnenalm and back to the starting point.

Snowshoetrail Hornspitz

  • Trail length: full loop via Bruno's Bergwelt 4.1km (return the same way), alternative loop via Gogosau 3.3km

  • Walking time: approx. 2h

  • Pole markings: 40 m

  • Arrival point: Hornbahn Russbach mountain station or Hornspitzbahn mountain station

The hike starts at the mountain station of the Hornbahn Russbach or Hornspitzbahn Gosau cable car and initially leads along a well-maintained path. After a short time, you reach a small station that offers a fantastic panoramic view of picturesque Russbach - a perfect moment to pause and enjoy the impressive scenery.

After a short walk, you reach the turn-off that leads to the Hornspitz viewpoint. If you decide to take this short detour, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the majestic Dachstein world - a real highlight of the tour.

The trail continues towards the Ochsenkopf lift, where you cross the lift routes. Take particular care here, especially when the lifts are in operation. A short ascent finally leads up to the top station of the drag lift. From there, the return route begins, which leads directly back to the starting point at a pleasant gradient and offers another opportunity to take in the magnificent mountain landscape.
